At Markwell Foods, we are committed to upholding human rights and contributing to a better future.

Modern slavery practices, including human trafficking, forced labour, debt bondage, forced marriage, and other abuses of fundamental human rights, are unacceptable.

Assessment of Suppliers against the Modern Slavery requirements are continual and ongoing, to keep this process independent we are encouraging all of our suppliers to join Sedex, who are the worlds leading Ethical Trade organisation.

We will continue to do our part to raise awareness about modern slavery and improve our processes to prevent the potential for its occurrence. We will also work closely with our suppliers to support them in their response to emerging human rights risks. We are also required By Law to submit Annual Declarations on our progress toward full traceability within our Supply Chain(s).

Whistle Blower Policy

Markwell Foods is committed to the highest standards of conduct and ethical behaviour in all our business activities and to promoting and supporting a culture of honest and ethical behaviour, corporate compliance and good corporate governance. 

To foster this standard of behaviour, we encourage all staff and external partners who have knowledge of, or reasonable suspicions of, any incident or improper conduct to report the matter through the appropriate channels at their earliest opportunity.

Markwell Foods provides protections and measures so that those persons who make a report may do so confidentially and without fear of intimidation, disadvantage or reprisal. This Policy provides a framework which helps to identify instances of wrongdoing and provide guidance on how to raise a concern about suspected or actual unethical or unlawful behavior.
